Meet Linda

I am an experienced counsellor working with clients aged 11 and above. Alongside my private practice, I also work within the education system, supporting children and young people with their emotional wellbeing. I have volunteered for many years at a local counselling agency, providing low-cost therapy to individuals who may otherwise have found support difficult to access. This work continues to inform my values and my commitment to making therapy a collaborative, respectful, and accessible experience.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the professional body that supports and regulates counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK. I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, which means I am committed to safe, ethical practice and to maintaining high professional standards in all aspects of my work.

I work from a quiet, private consultation room in Runfold and offer both daytime and evening appointments. I know how important it is to find the right therapist, so I offer a free 20-minute consultation to help you decide whether I’m the right fit for you. If you’d like to arrange this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

How I work?

’The further backward you look, the further forward you can see’

Winston Churchill

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches so that our work can be shaped around your individual needs. My practice is informed by person-centred, psychodynamic, and attachment-based theories. Together, we may explore unconscious processes, patterns of relating, and how past experiences may be influencing your life in the present.

By gently exploring both what you’re experiencing now and where it may come from, things can begin to make more sense over time, often bringing a sense of relief and understanding.

I work collaboratively with you, taking time to understand what you want from therapy and how we can move towards that together. Therapy can be challenging, uplifting, and sometimes even a little unexpected — but throughout the process, I am committed to understanding your unique experience, recognising your strengths, and supporting you as you explore what matters to you. Change often unfolds within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, with some weeks feeling lighter and others more challenging, and that’s a natural part of the journey
